Job Title: Final Test Technician - North Dublin
This is a 23-month fixed-term contract opportunity.
Core Responsibilities:
* Set up and test systems and sub-assemblies, allocated by the Supervisor, against test specifications until satisfied they meet all criteria.
* Perform inspection operations on sub-assemblies, modules, and systems using engineering drawings, schematics, flow diagrams, specifications, and methodologies.
* Prepare samples, reagents, and diluents for chemical testing of systems and modules.
* Use theoretical knowledge and practical experience to establish causes of malfunction and non-conformance in the electrical, hydraulic, and chemical operation of systems and modules with minimal loss of test time.
* Check each system against branch orders to ensure customers receive correct systems, including type, sequence, and peripherals if required.
* Assist Engineering in initial installation and verification of new test procedures, equipment, and products.
* Collaborate with Engineering in designing test fixtures and modules inspection/test procedures and preliminary system test/inspection procedures.
* Complete and maintain necessary paperwork, test data, etc. for each system/module to ensure accurate Q.C. records are available.
* Oversight and checking of repair work to ensure faults are corrected and conform to specifications.
* Work with Q.C. procedures related to material flow, material handling, processing of defective material, acceptance, rejection, ECN monitoring, concessions, etc.
* Awareness of risks involved in handling dangerous corrosive or infectious materials and adherence to safety rules and procedures.
* Train new personnel or existing technicians on unfamiliar systems or modules.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
* Third-level qualification (Engineering Degree/Diploma/QQI Level 6 Certificate in Engineering).
* At least 2 years' experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
* Ability to train new personnel or existing technicians on unfamiliar systems or modules.
* Excellent PC skills (Word, Excel, Microsoft Windows, SAP, etc.).
