Senior Occupational Therapist (Elderly Care)
We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis, providing high-quality person-centred therapy services to our elderly care facility.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive therapy program that addresses the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to enhance the functional abilities and quality of life of our residents
* Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify areas of need and develop effective interventions
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals, caregivers, and family members, to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care
* Provide education and support to residents, families, and caregivers on various aspects of occupational therapy and healthy aging
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to occupational therapy services
Requirements:
* Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
* Registration with CORU as a qualified occupational therapist
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
* Experience working in adult or elderly care settings, preferably in a multidisciplinary team environment
* Possession of strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Working Conditions:
* Full-time contract, initially for 6 months
* Temporary position, with potential for extension based on performance and business needs
* Competitive salary range: €61k - €72k per annum, commensurate with HSE pay scales
