The Accounts Assistant is responsible for overseeing the company's receivables within our Residential division, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments. This role involves invoicing, tracking outstanding balances, following up on overdue payments, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
This is a permanent position, based in Sandyford, Dublin 18. Hybrid policy.
Role & Responsibilities:
· Process sales invoices/credit notes on the accounts system in a timely manner;
· Liaising with branch administrators via email and telephone regarding queries on Invoices/Debtors;
· Ensure accurate recharging of client advertising and other related charges;
· Assist with credit collection and liaise with staff on outstanding invoices or queries;
· Process bank lodgements, deposit refunds and client balances due;
· Produce aged debtors’ listings and statements in a timely manner;
· Following up on outstanding invoices and liaising with staff on their outstanding debtors;
· Carry out weekly bank reconciliations;
· Provide support and cover to the financial team members as required;
· Assisting with the preparation of information required for the annual external audit;
· Creating efficiencies through continuous improvement of processes;
· Support other ad-hoc tasks that may arise;
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
· Five years previous experience in an accounts role, with AR experience
· A good knowledge of MS office packages - specifically Excel and Word;
· Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
· Highly motivated with an ability to take ownership and multi-task;
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
· Ability to pro-actively communicate with third parties;
· Reliable and diligent team player focused on delivering an exceptional service;
· Capacity to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines;
· Experience of SAGE accounting systems an advantage but not a requirement;
