Glenlo Abbey Hotel and Estate is located on the bank of Lough Corrib on a 138-acre estate with the original 18th century manor house dating back to the 1740's. The Hotel comprises of 73 guest bedrooms, 11 Luxury Lodges, Corrib Room (catering for meetings, events, and weddings for up to 170 guests), River Restaurant, Palmers Bar and Kitchen, Oak Cellar Bistro, 2AA Rosette Pullman Restaurant (an original Dining Carriage from the Orient Express), Glo Spa & Wellness, 9 hole Championship Golf Course and a 21 bay driving range.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and progressive Irish hotel group, The MHL Hotel Collection.
We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Fine Dining Restaurant Manager for our exclusive Pullman Restaurant at the Glenlo Abbey Hotel & Estate.
The Pullman Restaurant is Galway's most unique dining experience. Diners take a step back in time aboard the Orient Express, which comprises of 2 original carriages from the Orient Express, beautifully restored without losing any of their original character and set on the grounds of the hotel with views of the golf course, Lough Corrib.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the daily operations of the Pullman Restaurant.
2. Ensure departmental goals are achieved both operationally and financially.
3. Create a fluid and seamless sequence of service.
4. Establish and implement robust SOPs.
5. Train team members and identify areas for their development.
6. Collaborate seamlessly with internal departments ensuring the guest experience is flawless from start to finish.
7. Maintain a presence on the restaurant floor, ensuring all guests' needs are attended to.
8. Resolve any guest complaints which may arise, making sure that corrective actions are implemented to avoid any issues repeating.
The ideal candidate will possess:
1. Experience in managing Fine Dining/Michelin star establishments.
2. Passion for pairing Food & Wines; WSET qualifications desired.
3. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
4. Innovative and creative.
5. An ability to lead and inspire the team.
6. Performance-driven.
7. An ability to create and attain high standards of service.
8. A willingness to progress their career with the MHL Hotel Collection.
