Job Title: Parts Sales Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced parts professional to lead our team and drive business growth in the Irish Commercials division. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, customer development, and team leadership.
Job Purpose:
This is a mixed role that requires both on-site management of the team and off-site customer visits to grow business. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for the overall performance of Volvo Parts supply and sales, including growing our customer base, managing relationships, and identifying strategies to improve customer service and increase turnover and profitability.
Main Responsibilities:
* Continuously review and analyze the parts business, implementing agreed strategic plans
* Improve customer service levels delivered by the parts team
* Oversee stock management, including daily and emergency orders, new and warranty parts returns
* Set targets and deliver strategic plans for the sales team, monitoring individual and team performance and opportunities for growth
* Compile parts tender submissions
* Manage key accounts and business development, including traveling to customers and prospect premises
* Manage departmental/product promotions and participate in company events
* Manage supplier relationships and service levels
* Prepare annual budgets, managing departmental revenue and costs
Person Profile:
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills, a professional approach, and excellent stakeholder management skills. You should also have proven business acumen, problem-solving abilities, and relationship-building skills.
Requirements:
* 5+ years relevant industry experience at management level
* Technical understanding of commercial vehicles
* Proven leadership, managerial, and people development skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Strong business acumen
* Proven customer-first service delivery track record
* Strong negotiation skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Able to work accurately and efficiently in a busy working environment
* Competent IT skills, including Excel (intermediate level or above)
