* Our client, who are based in Dublin city, are a team of industry experts in underwriting and are looking for an experienced underwriter to join their High-Net-Worth team. You will be working alongside a close-knit team working towards team-based targets in a dynamic environment.
* The role will include the responsibility of underwriting high net worth home and motor risks and developing close relationships with the company's panel of brokers.
* The ideal candidate for this role will be ambitious, open-minded, hard-working and an effective team player who is flexible and can manage tasks and relationships effectively with their clients and their colleagues.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
* Underwrite high net worth home and motor risks.
* Contribute towards the continued growth of the business.
* Management of products in line with agreed service standards and in strict compliance with any delegated authority agreements.
* Developing and maintaining close and effective relationships with the existing panel of brokers via email, telephone and broker office visits.
* Effective management of central email inboxes ensuring required response and service levels are adhered to, whilst maintaining a consistent focus on quality and best practice.
* Monitoring of internal systems to ensure they are performing to the best of their ability and overseeing any approved system updates.
* Any other duties/responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned in line with company requirements.
Skill Requirements:
* Excellent inter-personal skills, with demonstrable record of building strong working relationships within team units, and with other internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience in negotiation of terms, conditions and pricing with brokers, underwriters and service providers desirable.
* Ability to understand the needs of both Household and Motor insurance customers.
* Self-motivated, hard-working individual with a great attitude, who works well independently but is also a strong team player.
* Ambitious and energetic in their approach to their work and possess a positive outlook with the ability to motivate others.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, particularly Word and Excel.
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in a home and motor underwriting role is required.
* Minimum CIP qualified.
