Electric Square Ireland is our new 5th studio, driven by ambition and a forward-thinking approach to game development. We are seeking an experienced Technical Director to help shape the creation of a world-class team in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide direction and maintain quality on all technical aspects of the game studio.
2. Manage and mentor engineering and IT staff, ensuring their growth and success.
3. Collaborate with recruitment teams to build a top-tier engineering team through interviews and talent acquisition trips.
4. Work closely with studio directors, game leads, and other Electric Square studios to drive innovation and excellence.
5. Perform technical due diligence for clients, projects, and pitches, showcasing your expertise and leadership.
6. Engage with clients during on-site visits, representing Electric Square with professionalism and charm.
7. Foster growth through regular one-to-one sessions and performance appraisals for team members.
Requirements:
We are looking for someone with:
1. Five shipped titles, with a minimum of two as lead.
2. At least 10 years of experience in the games industry.
3. AAA experience is essential.
4. Familiarity with a broad range of technologies from low-level programming to cloud services.
5. Experience working in co-dev environments is desirable.
6. Proficiency in Unreal is required; experience with Unity and proprietary engines is a plus.
