Overview of the role:
This role contributes to the development and implementation of HR strategies that support our business growth plans. Working with the Head of HR and Senior HRBP to champion a high-performance culture within the organisation.
The role will partner with the business area to proactively improve all aspects of the employee life cycle, working across succession planning, employee engagement, and providing high-level support based on best practices to our managers on complex and varied employee relations matters in line with the values of the business.
This role is part of a HR team of 9 with 1 direct report.
Duties of the Role include:
* Have oversight of absence management and work with managers to reduce absence levels.
* Proactively monitor ER trends using the relevant KPIs and appropriate management tools to plan, advise, and prevent appropriate action for the future.
* Be involved in local CSR activities.
* Manage and be responsible for local policy, ensuring these are harmonised with company-wide policies where possible.
* Work with the reward team to complete benchmarking reviews and annual pay and bonus reviews.
* Provide specialist advice and solutions in line with current legislation on all employee relations matters to managers across sites (complex disciplinary, grievances, investigations, probation, performance management, TUPE, restructures, and capability).
* Coach and upskill line managers on all employee relations matters to ensure all processes are procedurally and legally compliant with minimal risk to the business.
* Support the company in relation to all Audit and Certifications (CPD, EI, BWR).
* Support the company in relation to all elements of Transfer of Undertakings (TUPE) and Mergers and Acquisitions, ensuring all relevant processes are followed.
* Run HR Clinics for various sites when required.
* Work in partnership with the communications department regarding employee updates.
* Provide advice and support to employees and managers on any HR-related queries.
* Liaise with the Risk and Assurance Dept in relation to incident accident management.
* Promote work-life balance and the various support mechanisms available to employees (e.g., EAP, Wellness calendar of events).
* Provide project support for HR initiatives.
* Work in partnership with managers with the company Employee Engagement survey/action planning for sites for improvement.
* Support Reward & Recognition policy and consistent approach across the business.
* Complete annual gender pay gap reporting for Veolia Ireland.
Required skills for this role:
* 3rd level degree in an associated discipline or equivalent (master's a distinct advantage).
* CIPD qualified or working towards.
* Full clean driving licence.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar fast-paced varied role.

NOTE: Role will involve travel between various offices and client sites, so own transport is required, and a valid driver's license. Mileage will be paid for any business miles travelled.
