Our client, a leading private secondary school in Dublin 1, seeks a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join their team on a full-time and permanent basis. This challenging role involves taking responsibility for all matters relating to payroll while providing assistance with other account and administration duties.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
* Payroll System Duties
o Process weekly payroll for a small number of staff and monthly payroll for approximately 90 staff
o E nsure PAYE/PRSI compliance and liaise with the Revenue Commissioner and Department of Social Welfare as required
o Prepare files/returns to Revenue Commissioners each month
o Resolve employee payroll queries
o Prepare files for Bank by electronic funds transmission
o Prepare Salary Control Accounts at month end
o Prepare controls at year end for financial audit
o Prepare and manage payroll budgets
* Bookkeeping Duties
o Update Trips/Tours/Retreats budget sheets and summaries with income & expenditure
o Update Trip Coordinators on status of student income received
o Reconcile Trip expense receipts
o Issue and allocate purchase orders against invoices approved by budget holders
o Ensure compliance with the procurement policy for quotes and third-party requirements are adhered to for invoices received from budget holders
o Update the required spreadsheets for allocation of costs for Taxis, housekeeping to Finance team for processing
o Filing and invoice scanning for electronic payment processing
o Cash receipts - count and issue receipt
o Bank lodgments - lodge cash and cheques in the bank
Requirements:
* 3-5 years experience of SAGE Payroll (Micropay Professional) payroll system
* Detailed knowledge of PAYE and PRSI
* Detailed knowledge of Employment Law and Employee Entitlements
* Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
* A confident, professional communicator who is highly organised, capable of working on their own initiative and as part of a team as required
* Confidentiality and attention to detail are critical attributes for this role
* Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
* Energetic, self-starter with sympathy for the aims and aspirations that the Jesuits have for Belvedere College
* Previous experience of working in a school/college environment is preferable
