Safety Officer/Manager (Residential)

€80k + Transport, Bonus, Pension
Required for leading residential developer who have been operating successfully for 30+ years and are currently undertaking a 10-storey residential project in Dublin 15.
Opportunity to progress into #No.1 Safety Manager for the company’s high-density division.
Key Responsibilities
1. Take ownership of the project’s Construction Safety & Health Plan
2. Promote safety culture on site with a visible on-the-ground presence
3. Play an active role in the selection and vetting of subcontractors prior to commencement
4. Actively engage with our subcontractors to review and improve safe practices
5. Oversee the Site Induction and Access Control process
6. Work closely with the logistics foreman on the development of lifting plans, delivery and access arrangements, and materials movement across the site
7. Implement the Plant / Equipment and personnel training certification trackers
8. Review all subcontractor safety related documentation to assess its fitness for purpose
9. Carry out regular inspections / audits of the works, identifying areas for improvement and holding subcontractors to account for underperformance on safety matters
10. Ensure that a suitable system of permitting is in place and oversee the license applications process relating to public roads
11. Accurately record all safety related incidents and compile information on trends
12. Carry out periodic reviews of Urban personnel training requirements
13. Lead the Safety messaging and site safety notice board system
Qualifications
1. 3+ years Health & Safety experience, with some in apartments construction
2. Recognised health and safety qualification
3. Trades or technical construction background (preferable)
