Central Engineering Services is seeking a Data Engineer with strong analytical, communication, and project management skills to join our team.
This role will be a key member of a SW Services team within the Amazon Devices and Services organization.
Working closely with business stakeholders, software development engineers, and scientist colleagues, you will design, evangelize, and implement state-of-the-art solutions that help us provide a great customer experience.
You will work with a complicated data environment, employ the right architecture to handle data, and support various analytics use cases including business reporting, production data pipeline, machine learning, optimization models, statistical models, and simulations.

They are an analytical problem solver who enjoys diving into data, is excited about solving ambiguity problems, can multi-task, and can interface between technical teams and business stakeholders.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of data engineering experienceExperience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelinesExperience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJSExperience mentoring team members on best practicesExperience with SQLPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMRExperience operating large data warehousesBachelor's degree in an engineering or technical field such as Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or similar.5+ years of experience with data warehouse technical architectures, ETL/ ELT, reporting/analytic tools, and scripting.4+ years of demonstrated quantitative and qualitative data experience with data modeling and ETL development.4+ years of data modeling experience and proficiency in writing complex SQL with Redshift, Oracle, MySQL, and Columnar Databases.Experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets.Experience with AWS services including S3, Lambda, EMR, RDS, Data-pipeline, and other data technologies.Proficient in the composition of Advanced SQL (analytical functions) and query performance tuning skills.Superior attention to detail, project management skills, and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience managing competing priorities and driving projects to completion.Ability to interact, communicate, and present with both business and technical teams.
