Due to continued growth, the finance team is recruiting for a newly created Senior Financial Accountant position.
This is a key role for the team, offering significant exposure to divisional leads and senior leadership, as well as offering the opportunity to build hard-to-find people management experience through a mentor/mentee approach.
Key Responsibilities Preparation of monthly management accounts for a number of trading and holding companies by collecting large amounts of data; analysing and investigating variances; summarising data, information and trends, within strict deadlines Manage full Trial Balance of the various companies and provide monthly Income Statement analysis and Balance Sheet Reconciliations to the Group Finance Manager for review, where required Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounting packs for submission to the Group Finance team to assist in the preparation of the overall Group MI pack Partner with department leaders to build annual budget schedules and develop recharges to other business units in the Group Provide analysis of costs and spending trends and helping to identify where cost efficiencies can be made Produce management information on key financial performance indicators to support the management of the IT cost base Assist the Group finance team with the production of the Group Quarterly Forecasts and Annual Budget to tight timelines including review and analysis Key Skills Qualified accountant with Big 4/Top 10 background and, ideally, 1-2 years PQE in industry Prior experience with monthly and quarterly reporting, annual budget prep etc., and familiarity with group consolidations Advanced Excel (Pivots, Power BI etc) skills are paramount, as well as exposure to consolidation and ERP systems Strong communication skills with ability to liaise effectively cross-divisionally Due to the high volume of applications received, we regret that we are unable to respond to all applications.
