Job Description: Site Engineer
The Site Engineer will support the Project Manager with the day-to-day running of the project, liaising with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved.
The Site Engineer will review detailed design, critique, and communicate with designers to ensure adequate design is available for construction.
They will coordinate the development of design from designer's details to approved workshop drawings or technical information from subcontractors.
* Reading and interpreting drawings for layouts, materials, and measurements
* Planning works in an efficient manner to achieve program targets
* Ordering and control of materials on site
* Maintaining site records and records of discussions/meetings with designers and subcontractors
The Site Engineer will also be responsible for setting out and levelling of sites, resolving unexpected technical difficulties, and dealing with any problems that arise.
They will attend regular meetings with clients, architects, and consultants, keeping them informed of progress, and oversee quality control and safety matters on the site, ensuring regulations are adhered to.
Qualifications/Experience
Engineering Degree
Client/Consultant interface in regards to RFIs etc.
Confident in supervising site works
Team player with ability to build effective relationships at all levels
