About this role…
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager to join our team at Flipdish. This role offers a unique opportunity to oversee the monthly accounts, lead the month-end close process, and manage a range of exciting projects. You’ll have the chance to improve financial systems, policies, and controls, manage a year-end audit process, and support expansion into new regions. Leading a small team, you will play a pivotal role in driving efficiencies and optimising costs across the business, all while contributing to a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
* Key duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
* Monthly accounts, consolidation preparation and ownership of month end close in line with business requirements for a number of entities
* Assist with the management and development of the finance team (1 direct report)
* Leading on various ad hoc projects, including bringing improvements/efficiencies to the current systems in place, expansion into new regions and applying for grants and support.
* Review and improve finance policies, procedures and controls
* Lead year-end audit process and prepare year-end reporting packs for subsidiaries and consolidated accounts.
* Review company costs and seek ways to reduce costs
* Review and help further develop the internal controls across the group
* Preparation of VAT returns
What we are looking for:
* Qualified accountant with appropriate professional experience
* Technical excellence in accounting
* Demonstrable evidence of leading a small but high performing team
* Working knowledge of tax
* Proven track record of driving continuous improvement on monthly financial processes
* Experience of writing and enforcing financial policies/procedures
* Strong work ethic
* Comfortable working in fast paced environment where things change frequently
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Excellent organizational skills/ability to prioritize work
* Process orientated
* Ability to work in team environment
* Can-do attitude - hard working and driven
