Home Care Support Workers are required to provide care and support for people in their own homes.
Key Requirements
* You must have your own transport and a full clean driving license.
* A minimum of Fetac Level 5 or QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support qualification, or equivalent is required. This should include modules in Care of the Older Person and Care Skills.
* Availability to start at 7am is essential.
* Premium pay rates are available for evening and weekend hours worked.

Supporting Service Users
* Treating individuals with dignity, sensitivity and respect is paramount.
* Building relationships through active listening, talking and getting to know individuals is crucial.
* Encouraging input into care provision from service users is vital.
* Ensuring safety, happiness and fulfillment for service users is key.
* Preparing snacks and meals according to individual preferences is required.
* Assisting with personal hygiene and daily living activities is essential.
* Supporting rehabilitation programs, as prescribed by healthcare professionals, is necessary.
* Helping with domestic duties, including cooking, may be required depending on the care plan.
Qualifications and Certifications
* Two former employer references are required.
* Proof of relevant qualifications, such as Fetac/QQI Level 5, including Care of the Older Person and Care Skills, is necessary.
* A Fitness to Work Certificate from a GP is required to work in this role.
* Good general health and a willingness to undergo a medical if required are essential.
* Sympathy with fellow Home Care Support Workers and those receiving care is vital.
* Excellent communication skills are necessary.
