About the Role: Reporting to the Central Services Lead, the Central Services Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our ENG camera department in addition to working cross-functionally with the Central Services team. This role is based on-site at our Ballymount Studios.
Specific Duties & Tasks: Assign personnel and resources (including kit and accessories) to programme production teams to meet their requirements Provide leadership support for the ENG camera team and motivate the team to achieve their goals and PDP's Hold regular 121's and team meetings and participate in managerial meetings when required Undertake the accurate reporting of staff expenses, overtime, holiday approvals and absence Ensure that there is an adequate pool of contractors maintained and administrate supporting documentation such as Independent Contractor Agreements Regularly review workflows and resources and make recommendations in line with business needs Support the Head of Broadcast Operations with planning and delivery of third-party studio bookings, outside broadcasts and events Liaise with Broadcast Tech in relation to tickets raised for kit repair/replacement Actively seek to improve employee and team engagement Work in collaboration with the wider Central Services team on rostering, production planning, budget tracking and compliance, including PO generation and receipting Provide admin and operational support to the Central Services team The above list is not exhaustive. You will be expected to perform duties as necessitated by your changing role and the overall business objectives of the Company, as directed Skills & Expertise: Minimum of 3 years' experience in broadcast environment Knowledge of Television production processes Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and professionally Solution focussed problem solver with the ability to work on own initiative The Person: Excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail Strategic thinking, problem solving and planning aptitude Excellent interpersonal and communication skills The ability to work under one's own initiative and as part of a team Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and embrace change Virgin Media is an equal opportunities employer.
