Role Title:Clinical Nurse Manager II: Clinical Facilitator (Critical Care) Job Reference Number:000937 Closing Date:Sunday, 29th December 2024 Purpose of the Role: The post holder is responsible for facilitating the personal and professional development of staff nurses across National Burns & The Intensive Care Unit, to ensure they are competent and safe practitioners, thus providing a high quality of patient care. The post holder will be responsible for collaborating with nursing staff and the multidisciplinary team within the Burns Unit and Intensive Care Unit. The post holder will work alongside all Critical Care Clinical Facilitators to ensure the continuous quality improvement of Critical Care nursing practice, thereby improving patient outcomes. There is a rotational aspect to the role covering both the National Burns unit and the General Intensive Care Unit. As the Burns Unit is the National Burns Unit, this role is an educational and supportive resource for other acute clinical departments nationwide caring for burns injured patients. Required: Registered General Nurse with The Nursing Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI), or eligible to register. 5 years post-registration experience in an acute hospital/relevant clinical area within the last 7 years, 3 of which must be working in a Burns unit/Critical Care Unit. Demonstrate management experience throughout the last 2 years. Critical Care Nursing Qualification/Burns equivalent (Level 9 Postgraduate Diploma with research module). Demonstrate I.T. skills including excellent keyboard skills. Experience in teaching and assessing the nursing and HCA team throughout the last 2 years. Experience of using advanced Critical Care equipment Desired: Management course. Working knowledge of healthcare patient record systems.
