The Programme Risk Manager Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Programme Risk Manager with a consulting background to lead and oversee the management of risks across high-profile programmes. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients, ensuring the successful delivery of complex programmes by anticipating, identifying, and mitigating risks.
Based in Dublin, the position offers a hybrid working model for flexibility and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the risk management function for large-scale programmes, ensuring the identification, assessment, and mitigation of key risks.
* Provide consulting expertise to clients, delivering tailored risk management strategies that support programme success.
* Collaborate with programme managers, stakeholders, and senior leadership to ensure risk frameworks are embedded and continuously monitored throughout the programme lifecycle.
* Develop and implement robust risk management plans, including escalation procedures and mitigation actions for critical risks.
* Conduct regular risk assessments, tracking and reporting on risk status, trends, and impact to the overall programme delivery.
* Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them navigate complex programme risks while maintaining programme objectives.
* Support cross-functional teams to enhance the understanding and importance of effective risk management at all levels.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Proven experience as a Programme Risk Manager or a similar role, ideally in a consulting or client-facing environment.
* Strong expertise in programme risk management, with a track record of successfully delivering risk frameworks for large programmes.
* Risk management certifications such as MoR, PMI-RMP, or equivalent would be advantageous.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong analytical abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
* Experience working in consulting roles with diverse client portfolios is highly desirable.
