Job Title: Project Engineer
Location: Head Office, Grannagh, Co. Waterford
Contract Type: Permanent
Role Summary: Work as part of the wider Engineering team to ensure that relevant projects are completed in line with the Engineering Team's strategy and goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Management of the design, implementation, and handover of multi-disciplinary engineering projects, focusing on a broad range of Group Projects from Building Services, Production facility upgrades, and project management of small and large-scale projects.
2. Manage and coordinate elements on multiple projects across various production sites for the duration of projects.
3. Implement and adhere to company project management procedures and SOPs to deliver projects.
4. Design and tender engineering projects, including generating user requirement specifications, tender specifications, and tender drawings.
5. Verification, commissioning, and handover of engineering systems to end users.
6. Develop project budgets and manage them for the life cycle of the project.
7. Work as part of a wider project team and assist in the delivery of key projects.
8. Facilitate and participate in the department’s continuous improvement program.
9. Design engineering systems and upgrades and implement them.
10. Provide technical support to production sites.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. A 3rd Level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or similar.
2. A minimum of 5 years work experience in a Project Engineering role within Engineering Project Management functions with experience working on medium and large-scale capital projects.
3. Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Project.
4. Excellent AutoCAD skills.
5. Certified qualification in Project Management preferable.
6. Proven experience in delivering projects from conception to completion.
7. Proven budget management experience.
8. Strong knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and legislation.
9. Proven experience of strong organisational skills.
10. Flexibility and willingness to travel to production sites throughout Ireland and the UK as required.
