Job Title: Clerical Officer Location: Trinity House Council: Council for Social Witness Salary Scale: A3 £12.21 - £14.12 per hour Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am 4pm (30 minute unpaid lunch break) Responsible to: Service Manager MAIN FUNCTION OF JOB To provide clerical, administrative and financial support for the functioning of the home as required, in a manner in keeping with the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION Trinity House is one of 6 homes for older people run by the Council for Social Witness (Older People Services) and is situated at 15 Kilrea Road, Garvagh.
The Home accommodates 50 residents who have a variety of physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs and varying levels of dependency, including a 16 bed Unit for those with a diagnosis of dementia.
The Home operates a No Smoking Policy.
CRITERIA QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE Essential Educated to GCSE level with at least Grade C in English Language and Maths or equivalent OCR (RSA) Stage Il Word Processing or equivalent in competence or qualifications RELEVANT EXPERIENCE Essential Minimum of 2 years office experience Previous experience of recording financial transactions Experience of Microsoft based products, including Excel and Word, or equivalent SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES Essential Willingness to work additional hours to fulfil the requirements of the position Willingness to work within the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Council for Social Witness Willing to work outside usual office hours e.g.
