Our client, a leader in the automotive manufacturing industry and Ireland’s premier minibus manufacturer is seeking an experienced Automotive Spray Painter / Paint Technician to join their body shop team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the high-quality finish of custom-built vehicles in a dynamic and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, ensuring smooth, even finishes.
2. Apply masking to protect surfaces from overspray.
3. Prime vehicle parts to promote paint adhesion and durability.
4. Mix paint to match exact specifications and colors as per client requirements.
5. Operate a handheld spray gun to apply paint coats with precision.
6. Conduct buffing and polishing to achieve a flawless finish.
7. Perform detailed finishing to enhance the vehicle’s final look.
8. Install body kits, spoilers, and diffusers on vehicles during the build process.
9. Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety protocols.
10. Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in automotive spray painting or a related role.
2. Proficiency in following technical instructions and specifications accurately.
3. Keen attention to detail to ensure top-quality finishes.
4. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
5. Ability to work independently, showing initiative and problem-solving skills.
6. Team-oriented mindset, willing to contribute to group tasks as needed.
7. Familiarity with paint mixing, application, and finishing techniques.
8. Experience in buffing, polishing, and detailed finishing of vehicles.
9. Skilled in using a variety of tools, including handheld spray guns.
10. Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace.
