Strategic Procurement Specialist
We are working exclusively with a leading global organisation to find an experienced Strategic Procurement Specialist. This role plays a key part in supporting global and regional procurement initiatives, driving strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and cost optimisation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Source raw materials and components to support manufacturing operations.
* Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms.
* Manage supplier relationships, drive cost-reduction initiatives, and improve overall procurement efficiency.
* Support new unit pricing, supplier qualification, and contract negotiations.
* Work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless supply chain performance.
* Analyse market trends to optimise procurement strategies and mitigate supply risks.
Key Requirements:
* Experience in operational procurement within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
* Strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
* Proven ability to work in a fast-paced setting with tight deadlines.
* Commercial acumen and analytical skills to drive cost efficiencies.
* Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
* Relevant qualification in business or a technical discipline; procurement certifications (APICS CPIM, IIPMM Cert/Dip) are a plus.
