A manufacturing company in Meath designs, manufactures and markets agriculture tractor Pick-Up Hitch and construction excavator Quick Coupler technologies. They are currently recruiting for a Forklift Driver/Material Handler to join their Production team reporting to the Phase 3 Service Centre Team Leader.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for daily set up of welding fabrication stations in an efficient and safe manner.
2. Liaise with Construction Manager for daily requirements regarding safety, quality, and production tasks to meet production demands.
3. Report any deviations from the required standards immediately to quickly identify and address problems.
4. Monitor area performance against plan and escalate issues to Team Leader.
5. Support problem-solving activities.
6. Responsible for working to tight deadlines in a busy manufacturing environment.
7. This job requires a level of physical activity in production set up processes.
8. Update production support systems with administrative requirements.
9. Provide support cover in absence of Construction Manager regarding the organization of production activities and other job requirements.
10. External product movement including locating & delivering jigs where required.
11. Deliver packaging from storage to Final Assembly.
12. Maintain 5S in packing area in top stores & shipping area.
13. Deliver goods for shipping to shipping area including paperwork checks.
14. Load containers.
15. Deliver & collect production hitches/parts to & from quality/CMM.
What You Need to Succeed:
1. Prior manufacturing experience of at least 3 years.
2. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, technical drawings, operating instructions, and procedures to produce products to customer’s exact specifications.
3. Strong organisational, administrative, and communication skills.
4. Reliable with a good work ethic including attention to detail.
5. Adherence to safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures.
6. Word and Excel skills.
7. Ability to take on additional responsibilities and show initiative on a day-to-day basis.
8. Experience in driving a Fork Truck is required; therefore, an up-to-date licence is an advantage.
