A Day in the Life
As Manufacturing Engineering Director, you will report directly to the Senior Director of Manufacturing at Parkmore and will play a key role on the Parkmore Operations Leadership team to ensure the achievement of goals and objectives for the manufacturing organization. The manufacturing team at Parkmore supports a number of Operating Units within Medtronic in the manufacture of implantable medical devices. In this role, you will provide Engineering functional leadership to a large team, working across a range of manufacturing technologies and medical devices.

* Provide functional and people leadership to drive strategic and tactical activities in the achievement of the Parkmore Manufacturing strategies.
* Shape functional strategy and excellence within manufacturing engineering and maintenance to support and accelerate the manufacturing strategy at Parkmore.
* Accelerate the rate of continuous improvement through the deployment and embedding of Medtronic Performance System (MPS) within the Engineering function.
* Work across multiple Operating Units to identify and implement productivity and process improvements.
* Responsible for talent development and performance acceleration of the team by aligning to the site strategy, setting objectives, and evaluating progress via a performance-oriented culture to deliver on business goals.
* Lead, coach, and motivate a highly talented and diverse team across the shifts, in the achievement of business objectives.
* Build engineering capability and implement talent strategies to ensure talent capabilities to achieve current and future business strategies.
* Develop and coach a team of direct reports, leading functional communications in creating a culture of shared best practices, continuous improvement strategies, and actively contribute to horizontal learning opportunities across the site and within the Global Manufacturing organization.
* Prioritize career development of talent by identifying opportunities, providing stretch assignments, and challenging individuals to exceed current capabilities while providing meaningful support.
Key Skills & Experience
* 10+ years related experience with L8 Bachelors Qualification in Engineering discipline.
* 8+ years related experience with Masters or other Advanced Degree.
* 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in functional area or related field.
* 7+ years direct people management experience.
* Prior experience in medical device, pharma, or other highly regulated industry.
* Knowledge and experience in Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations fields.
* Comprehensive engineering knowledge of process and technologies utilized in the manufacturing of medical devices, in addition to future technology trends (specifically Automation and Digital manufacturing).
* Ability to work effectively in a highly diversified business environment with a strong understanding of cross-functional business operations.
* Excellent communication, leadership, talent development, and strategic planning skills.
