International Software Quality Engineer with French - Job Summary:
The European Software Localisation Quality Assurance team is responsible for designing, implementing, and executing both automated and manual test plans to assure the quality of our client’s wide variety of software products. We are looking for highly motivated individuals that meet the description below.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform manual localisation testing on software, print documents, help, and hardware items.
2. Report issues found by using internal tools, providing pertinent information and suggestions, and following the solution process to its completion.
3. Analyse international functionality issues.
4. Work cross-functionally with international software QA centers, engineering teams, translators, and project managers to ensure delivery of world-class products to international markets.
5. Any other duties as required.
Depending on experience and skills, duties might also include:
1. Designing, implementing, and organizing manual test plans.
2. Creating, maintaining, and carrying out automated test procedures.
3. Identifying areas of improvement in existing tools and processes, and addressing issues with innovative solutions.
Requirements
Required skills:
1. Fluent in French and English, with full professional competence. Proficiency in linguistics.
2. Able to represent a French user in all aspects of interacting with a software product.
3. Knowledge of software localization and internationalization.
4. Thrives under pressure in fast-paced environments.
5. Curious and creative in enhancing product quality and user experience.
6. Exceptional attention to detail.
7. Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
8. Self-motivated, rapid learner, and exceptional team player.
Preferred:
1. Hardware and software power users of Apple products.
2. Localisation Quality Assurance experience.
3. Strong technical expertise.
Bonus points for:
1. Expert software power users (Pro Apps, multimedia, productivity).
2. Real-world software engineering experience.
3. macOS/iOS software development with Xcode or Swift.
4. Software test automation experience.
5. Project management experience.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Linguistics, or equivalent experience.
