The Position
The purpose of this role is to deliver medical education and engage in scientific dialogue in the areas of diabetes, obesity & cardiovascular health, ensuring that HCPs (Health Care Professionals) and KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) are aware of and understand the scientific basis for and clinical efficacy and safety of our medicines. Concurrently, the role will support the internal educational requirements and cross-functional collaboration to deliver patient-centric education.
Responsibilities
* Engagement with HCPs in high-quality scientific & clinical exchange on current marketed products and compounds in development enabling internal and external customers to make informed decisions relating to available / investigational products within regulatory requirements and company strategy.
* Establishment of relationships with HCPs and relevant institutions to meet medical education knowledge requests relating to Novo Nordisk products and patient education provided by Novo Nordisk.
* Management and implementation of Irish KOL engagement plan.
* Medical-marketing support for product campaign development & implementation and medical-market access collaboration to support patient access to medicines.
* Product and therapy area training, education and information.
* Support local clinical trial activities and Phase IV trials.
Qualifications
* MBChB (or equivalent), MSc or PhD in relevant discipline - Scientist, Pharmacist or Medical doctor by training.
* Post Registration Experience.
* Knowledge of the Irish Healthcare System.
* Relevant therapy area knowledge; Obesity, Diabetes, Cardiometabolic would be a plus.
* Experience with market access and customer excellence (digital omnichannel engagement from a medical perspective) experience would be a plus.
* Experience with cross-functional working, stakeholder management and a strong compliance focus.
