Job Title: Junior Sous Chef

Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and ambitious Junior Sous Chef to join the culinary team at our client’s luxurious property in Co Meath. As a Junior Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and service. You will take charge in the absence of senior chefs and help lead the kitchen team in delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in overseeing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring the highest standards are maintained.
* Take the lead in the kitchen during the absence of the Head Chef or Sous Chef, managing the team and ensuring smooth service.
* Work closely with the culinary team to develop menus, ensuring creativity, quality, and consistency across all dishes.
* Support the Sous Chef in managing kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
* Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations in the kitchen.
* Assist with stock control, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
* Monitor kitchen performance, ensuring efficiency during service and addressing any issues as they arise.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a luxury or high-end hospitality setting.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent culinary skills with a passion for high-quality food and presentation.
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
* A positive and motivated attitude with a desire to contribute to the success of the kitchen team.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
