As an Installation Customer Engineer for the iTeam (the “i” stands for “installation”), you’ll work at high-tech semiconductor facilities worldwide, where you are the face of Applied Materials and an integral part of a vibrant and diverse team.
This role is based Dresden, Germany and will focus on performing system installations in Germany and throughout the Europe region, as well as vast opportunities for travel to support installations worldwide. Travel constitutes 80% - 100% of working time.
Key Responsibilities as an Installation Engineer
1. Follow procedures you learn during your training to perform wafer measurement and other installation processes
2. Perform preventative maintenance independently; assist senior engineers with corrective maintenance as needed
3. Perform wet cleans of equipment, disassembling, cleaning and rebuilding kits as part of kit management quality
4. Learn and apply diagnostic techniques to resolve basic technical problems
5. Complete required job documentation and procedures for processing parts
6. Professionally represent Applied Materials to the customer, using your “customer first” mindset
7. Satisfy the customer’s on-site requirements, including safety guidelines
Your education and experience
8. A professional degree plus 1–2 years of semiconductor experience or other industry experience
9. Basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulic, electronics, vacuum and/or thermodynamics
10. Knowledge of hand tools and proper usage
11. Full training on our equipment will be provided, however knowledge and prior experience of our CVD/CMP/EPI/Implant toolsets would be advantageous .
