The project:
The stakeholder and communications manager shall be responsible for supporting the project oversee and deliver stakeholder management and consent functions throughout the lifecycle of project. The role holder shall support the stakeholder lead and consents lead in the review, development of transparent, coordinated and efficient communications strategy for the delivery of project-wide consents.

* You will deliver and manage project plans from project inception/brief, through design development and planning, contractor procurement and construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones.
* You will manage tasks and associated deliverables in support of senior project managers and other leaders, alongside the wider project and client teams, to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the project.
* Assist in developing the stakeholder management and communications requirements for the contractor(s) for the core contracts during the procurement process, and support in the evaluation of the submissions received.
* Developing the communications requirements for the major infrastructure contracts during the procurement process and providing support in the evaluation of the submissions received.
* Support the project delivery partner in their stakeholder management for internal and external stakeholders.
* Shall be required to support the stakeholder lead in reporting to the project board and senior governance levels on progress against the stakeholder management strategy and any material issues arising.

* You will manage design and wider consultant teams in a collaborative manner to ensure effective completion of responsibilities.
* You will manage the project team and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators (KPIs).

You'll need to have:
* 5+ years' experience in stakeholder and communications management and a proven track record of engaging with statutory stakeholders for the purposes of managing the discharge of consents activities in high value rail projects or projects of a similar scale/complexity.
* Tangible experience of driving best practice in town planning technical activities, processes, policies and standards.
* In-depth understanding of the design and delivery requirements of technically complex projects in the architectural/engineering/construction sectors.
* Experience of dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation influencing the improvement of process and providing guidance to support project delivery and reporting.
* Knowledge of quality management and process improvement practices and systems is desirable, preferably within the construction sector.
* Ability to manage technical outputs to drive efficiency.
* Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to govern and drive outcomes to ensure high quality service.
You'll also have:
* BA/BSC (public relations, business or other related field).
* Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
* Property or infrastructure project management expertise.
* Commercial and financial acumen.
* Experience of working on projects within large, diverse teams.
* Experience of developing and forming relationships with other stakeholders within projects.
* Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
