The Glashaus Hotel has a fantastic new vacancy for an experienced Hotel Receptionist to join our team.
Objectives of the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the Receptionist is the first person that a guest meets on arrival at the Hotel. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that all staff present a friendly and professional image to our guests at all times. You will be responsible for carrying out front of house operations, welcoming guests, and ensuring all customer and guest queries are dealt with in a prompt and efficient manner, providing the utmost level of service to all guests and visitors to the hotel. Completing ad hoc administrative duties as requested by the General Manager.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Handling customer and client queries, taking phone calls and managing emails.
2. Liaising with clients daily to update on tasks and projects where required.
3. Ordering of office consumables ensuring adequate supplies are available at all times.
4. Miscellaneous administration work, assisting in keeping site documentation up to date.
5. Attendance & participation in client meetings, as deemed appropriate.
6. Assisting the Sales & Events teams as required.
7. Providing ad hoc administrative support to other departments as needed.
8. Manage reservations, ensuring all group information received by e-mail/phone is dealt with and forwarded to all relevant parties.
9. Maintain immaculate presentation and grooming, wearing designated uniform/business attire and name badge at all times.
Requirements
1. Be able to work on your own initiative.
2. Be able to cope well under pressure.
3. Previous experience in a similar hotel role.
