Profitability accountantPurpose: The profitability accountant, reporting to the Finance Manager within the On Demand division, will have the autonomy to run end-to-end financial analysis supporting the commercial success of the business unit. They will be a commercially focused partner to the business supporting the day-to-day operations. The core objective is to provide timely, accurate & commercially orientated business information to enable the maximisation of business opportunities while ensuring that the internal controls of the company are adhered to. Key Responsibilities Preparation and review of monthly management accounts for business units within the On Demand division, ensuring compliance with group reporting deadlines and providing financial and commercial insight to key non-financial leaders in the businessCreation of financial & management reports across customer, product & supplier profitability, leveraging data across multiple world wide entities from multiple ERP and WMSCreation of dashboards to provide timely and insightful management information to tight deadlines and ensuring accuracy Build KPI suite for operations reporting, outlining processes and highlighting key trend and drivers of cost and opportunities for improvementAssisting in the production and further development of reporting on business performance to Senior Management. Provision of financial support to the Commercial Team on existing & new initiatives and projects Assisting in the preparation of budgets and reforecasts for the business in conjunction with the Finance Manager/Client Operations teams, in line with Group timetable Overseeing the preparation and improvement of client reports in line with reporting deadlines. Liaise with Group & Intercompany finance teams as necessary. Liaise with internal and external auditors. Ongoing review and assessment of controls and working with process improvement team to implement or enhance internal controls - ensuring the business unit is aligned at all times to support the growth of the business. Ensuring that balance sheet reconciliations are prepared to audit standard on a monthly basis. Participate in regular team and group meetings. Be flexible in this role to support the finance & commercial function of the Uniphar Group as instructed by your manager. Key Skills & Experiences Commercially minded qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA) with experience working with multi-functional disciplines including non-financial managers. Strong ability to apply critical strategic thinking to resolve problems. Self-motivated individual with ambition to be a high achiever within the organisation. Good Commercial Acumen with a focus on optimisation of profits. Proven time management and prioritisation skills focusing on urgent and overlapping deadlines, strong organisational skills, attention to detail and proven accuracy with record keeping. A proven track record of delivering high quality customer support. Ability to work effectively under time and delivery pressures Ability to influence without authority cross-functionally within the business High level of proficiency in excel and PPT, along with knowledge and experience across multiple ERP systems and statistical analysisShow resilience, be flexible and adaptable. Professional level written and oral communication.
