Overview:
This position is responsible for all mechanical maintenance of process, utility, and facility equipment to support manufacturing operations and maximise asset performance.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Carry out all work safely, cost effectively and to the highest GMP standards, while maintaining good relations with our suppliers, contractors, customers and fellow employees.
2. Carry out all routine and non-routine mechanical tasks delegated, according to appropriate procedures and standards.
3. Ensure Maintenance Manager is aware of any problems on site as soon as possible.
4. Ensure that all relevant information is passed to the next maintenance shift.
5. Execute site preventive maintenance routines.
6. Maintain appropriate records.
7. Repair equipment malfunctions while identifying and resolving recurring downtime/inefficient operational issues.
8. Assist in construction, commissioning, and qualification of equipment.
9. Involve in developing maintenance procedures and equipment files. Assist with generation, review, and revision of maintenance documentation as necessary.
10. Select appropriate spare parts to ensure maximum availability of equipment.
11. Operate utilities and equipment safely and efficiently, whilst maximizing uptime.
12. Collect and analyse equipment data to report on equipment performance.
13. Assist with rolling shutdown preparation and execution.
14. Train other staff in department procedures and techniques, as required.
15. Troubleshoot, maintain, and support Utility and Manufacturing equipment to enable the manufacture of quality products.
16. Responsible and accountable for the safe accomplishment of all activities within the maintenance team whilst following all statutory, environmental, regulatory (cGMP), corporate, site and team practices.
17. Report any EHS incidents and/or near misses.
18. Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained to a high standard.
19. Assist engineering in executing projects.
20. Perform all necessary maintenance PMs and repairs.
21. Attend any meetings deemed necessary to ensure continuity within the maintenance department, during normal working hours, subject to flexibility at start or end of the working day.
22. Support a culture of Continuous Improvement.
23. Any other duties as directed by your manager.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
Qualified fitter with a recognised apprenticeship essential.
Minimum of 5 years' experience post-apprentice experience within a similar role.
Possess demonstrable specialised technical skill across mechanical areas:
1. Pump repairs (mechanical seals, motor replacement, etc.)
2. Valve repairs (seal changing, actuator replacement, etc.)
3. Filter replacements.
4. Pipe fabrication.
5. General mechanical fabrication.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Working week:
The working week is on a four cycle 12-hour shift rotation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
