The role of an accountant is to provide financial expertise to senior management, preparing and managing financial accounts, including annual accounts for auditing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably from a manufacturing organisation, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

* Preparation of monthly management accounts and production.
* Management of creditors ledger and month-end closing.
* Preparation of annual accounts for auditing and assistance to auditors.
* Providing accounting and taxation expertise to the Financial Controller and senior management.
* Bank reconciliations, debtors reconciliations, and creditors reconciliations.
* Maintenance of Fixed Asset Registers.
* Weekly and monthly reports to the Financial Controller and Senior Leadership Team.
* Ad-hoc duties assigned based on experience and competence.
Candidate Requirements:

* Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or similar).
* Minimum 5 years post-qualified experience, preferably in a manufacturing organisation.
* Excellent MS Office skills with advanced Excel skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* High level of communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous.
