We have a new role available for a Non-Life Consulting Actuary to join a well-established consultancy organisation. This role will join the company’s growing non-life team and will work alongside colleagues in insurance and banking. The successful candidate will join other skilled members of the team and work on risk management and actuarial projects while advising clients on innovative, tailored solutions and providing valuable insights. About the Non-Life Consulting role
This position will involve exposure to a variety of projects covering a breadth of different areas.
Duties for the Non-Life Consulting Actuary role include (but are not limited to):
1. Reviewing technical provisions, SCR and ORSA calculations and results and internal model validations
2. Optimising the risk management process by developing policies procedures and risk appetite frameworks
3. Assessing and identifying climate-related risks and developing management strategies
4. Enhancing the ALM models for SII and IFRS17
5. Providing Non-Life Consulting advice to a range of clients
6. Cover and manage a variety of projects and provide tailor-made solutions to clients
7. Collaborate with teams in other areas of the business
Actuarial skills required
The Non-Life Consulting Actuary role would suit a Fully Qualified Actuary from a Non-Life Actuarial background with ideally 2 years of post-qualification experience. Candidates will ideally have experience in a consulting environment and in a managerial position. A strong understanding of insurance regulations is essential. Familiarity with non-life actuarial tools and experience with internal models is also preferred.
