The position will be based from our Naas location and cover the Kilkenny, Wexford, Carlow, Laois and Offaly counties predominantly. The Opportunity:
As a Surveyor, you will conduct on-site surveys of residential properties to assess their suitability for solar PV installations. Your work will help ensure that our clients receive optimal and safe solar solutions tailored to their needs.
Responsibilities Include:
Conduct thorough on-site surveys of residential properties.
Assess roof structures, orientation, shading, and other relevant site conditions.
Evaluate electrical systems to ensure compatibility with solar PV installations.
Perform risk assessments on-site to identify potential hazards.
Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards during surveys.
Record accurate measurements, photographs, and site details using the designated survey tools and software.
Provide comprehensive survey reports for review and further analysis.
Act as the first point of contact for clients during the survey process.
Address client queries related to the survey process and provide basic guidance on solar PV systems.
Work closely with the Technical Team Lead and Desktop Survey Team to ensure survey findings align with project requirements.
Requirements:
Experience in a technical or field-based role, preferably within the solar PV or construction industry.
Familiarity with basic electrical systems and principles.
Understanding of roof structures, including their load- bearing capacity.
Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate reports.
Certification in solar PV systems or a related technical discipline is desirable.
Experience using digital survey tools and software would be an advantage but not essential.
Knowledge of Irish building regulations would be an advantage also.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule efficiently.
Physical fitness and comfort with working at heights (training will be provided if necessary).
Proactive problem-solving mindset.
This role involves travel across the Kilkenny, Wexford, Carlow, Laois and Offaly counties predominantly.
The position is field-based, requiring visits to residential properties Monday to Friday.
