Oradeo Recruitment is presently seeking interest for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join one of Ireland's leading Road Construction and Civil Engineering Companies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople, and operative
* Setting out, levelling and surveying the site and reconciling tender submission
* Checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculation
* Ensuring that all materials used, and work performed are in accordance with the specifications
* Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials
* Agreeing a price for materials and making cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended project, value engineering as necessary and possible
* Managing, monitoring, and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect
* Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project
* Liaising with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws
* Communicating with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers, and surveyors)
* Attending regular meetings to keep clients/representatives informed of progress
* Carrying out day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors
* Planning the work and organising required plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines
* Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site
* Preparing reports as required
* Keeping central Management updated daily on general progress of project completion
* Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
* Overseeing site operations and assisting with site paperwork
* Managing and overseeing all engineering functions and assisting in all contracts as required
* Working in conjunction with Safety Cert Health and Safety System
* Site setting out taking measures and creating As-builts drawings
* Helping to negotiate final accounts with measurement records
* Assisting with Tendering Pre-Quals
* Overseeing and carrying out risk analysis
* Ordering materials from suppliers
* Managing site staff and getting involved with general overall productivity
* Liaising and running of surfacing crews on site
* Directly managing a number of projects, with site agents and client engineers reporting to Directors
* Involving commercial ability, including traffic management, interim and final accounts, and contract claims where appropriate
* Managing contracts from initial enquiry through programme, preparation for paving, civils, lining, billing and account agreement
* Managing Project Costs on site and liaising and attending meetings as required with the company accountant
Necessary skills and requirements:
* 3rd level qualification in Construction Management/Engineering
* Ideally possessing 3+ years’ experience working with a main contractor/specialist subcontractor acting as a Site Engineer within Ireland or the UK
* Strong setting out experience
* Strong operational skills and an attention to detail
* Familiar with MS Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
* Strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Analytical thinker with demonstrated problem-solving skills
* Ideally you will possess experience working in the following sectors: commercial, pharmaceutical, residential, high rise, industrial, data centre, mixed use in excess of €5 million
