Hyreus are currently recruiting for a Service Manager to look after our clients Datacentre service contracts, overseeing the mechanical service engineers.
Responsibilities:
Develop a good working relationship with all members of staff and the Client / Data Centre Owner.
1. Principal contact for all mechanical requirements internally as well as being responsible for relationship with data centre client / owner.
2. Use CMMS to create work orders and approval of hours.
3. Review / approve all submitted method statements & risk assessments.
4. Monitor & ensure all spares relating to the Mechanical & Data Centre systems are in place.
5. Responsible for the development and training of mechanical / HVAC technicians to ensure robust succession plans for the Data Centre team.
6. Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment, including the wearing of uniform and appropriate PPE when required.
7. Assist the technical manager in technical staff management, development, and appraisal within the constraints of the contract and policies.
8. Assist technical manager on the recruitment of new staff by providing technical assessment of all new candidates interviewing to join the team on site.
The candidate:
1. An innate understanding of HVAC, controls and BMS, ideally in a Datacentre / Critical Environment.
2. Exposure to BMS, UPS AHU's, VSD's and Fire Systems.
3. Understanding of relay logic, PLC's, BMS and integration in datacentre environment.
4. Ideally trade / time served qualified in a Mechanical or HVAC / Refrigeration / Cooling field.
