The IRFU are inviting applications for Content Creator.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the IRFU’s digital content strategy. This is an ideal role for someone early in their career who is looking to gain experience in supporting the creation, curation, and managing of compelling content for a leading brand. The successful candidate will be a key component of the IRFU Communications department and also working closely with the media team, domestic communications to develop and produce content across National Teams, domestic rugby projects and sponsorship, CSR and commercial campaigns.
Please note this role will involve working outside of normal office hours including working weekends at matches. There is also the possibility of foreign travel with teams as required.
The position is being offered on a full-time, fixed term contract basis until September 2025. The role will be based at our Head Office, 10-12 Lansdowne Road, Dublin 4 and in our High Performance Centre, Sport Ireland Campus, Blanchardstown, as and when required..

The Content Creator will have the following qualities:
Essential
• Minimum of 12 months experience working in the area of content creation.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally between internal departments and externally with various key stakeholders within Irish Rugby.
• Be a good multitasker with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work under pressure as match day deadlines can be based on quick, quality turnarounds.
• Have strong written, editing and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience editing content and delivering in multiple dimensions for different social media platforms.
• A good understanding of social media platforms and what type of content works on individual platforms.
• Flexible approach to working hours as dictated by the demands of the role.
Desirable
• Knowledge of After Effects and Premiere Productions would help.
• Experience with DJI Drone operation.
• An independent worker who is comfortable directing, setting, lighting and recording location shoots.
• A general interest in sport and a knowledge and interest in digital media and latest trends in social media.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create engaging and informative content to showcase rugby in Ireland at all levels of the game.
• Assist in the management of all the official communications channels for the IRFU, both internally and externally. This includes the website, social media channels, email newsletters, intranet and any further channels that develop over time.
• Monitor the sentiment online for the IRFU and ensure any issues are escalated to the Communications Director.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to leverage partnerships, sponsorships and media opportunities to help amplify content.
