Job Summary
This role involves providing high-level administrative support to Fee Earners, Operations Manager and Reception. The successful candidate will have a proactive and professional attitude, excellent interpersonal and listening skills, and the ability to work on their own initiative.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide administration and support to Fee Earners, Operations Manager and Reception
* Audio typing, formatting and editing documents and correspondence
* Prepare and schedule court bundles, legal briefs, legal reports and documents
* Draft letters, including demand letters, and follow up with third parties
* Manage billing administration, generate invoices and credit notes, and produce time reports
* Verify bank account details and request bank transfers in line with procedures
* Perform post administration tasks, printing, scanning, and document management
* Provide regular reception cover, including meeting room diary management and catering management
* Meet and greet clients, guests, and visitors, and ensure adherence to day-to-day office procedures
* Perform ad-hoc duties as required
Requirements
* At least one year's experience in the legal industry
* Excellent interpersonal and listening skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* A proactive and professional attitude with strong communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
* Dictation/transcription experience and a minimum of 55 WPM
* Strong IT and system skills, with experience in Keyhouse or similar document management/case management systems an advantage
* Good numerical skills
* Enthusiastic, motivated, and able to work on their own initiative but with a team-oriented mindset
