Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Operations Manager to lead the manufacturing activity and technical innovation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that manufacturing operations meet customer demand, achieve operating plans, and are consistent with our business objectives. He/She will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians and working closely with other departments such as production, quality control, supply chain, and product development to ensure the smooth running of our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing department and ensure the production schedule is met
2. Develop and implement manufacturing processes that ensure efficiency, quality, and safety
3. Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles and practices to optimise production processes
4. Work closely with product development and supply chain teams to ensure the successful introduction of new products and processes
5. Monitor production processes and implement corrective actions to address any issues that arise
6. Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations
7. Manage and develop a team of engineers and technicians to ensure a high level of performance and engagement
8. Drive continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality
9. Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and components
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement technical innovations that will improve the manufacturing process and support business objectives
Requirements:
11. Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field
12. At least 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of success in leading operations and implementing technical innovations
13. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices
14. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams of engineers and technicians
15. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
16. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
17. Strong Capex budget management
18. Experience with project management and budgeting
19. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
