Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time Management / Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will report to the Group Financial Controller and be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, cashflows, and qualitative management information.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing monthly management accounts, cashflows, and qualitative management information.
* Performing bank reconciliations and adhering to monthly reporting timetables.
* Working closely with the financial controller to prepare and provide accurate and consistent financial information.
* Providing analytical support to management on key business decisions.
* Preparing audit packs and supporting the external audit process.
* Assisting with the management of cashflow across multiple entities.
* Overseeing the management/mentoring of accounts staff.
* Liaising with external stakeholders and advisors as required.
* Involvement in the annual budget process.
* Supporting ad-hoc accounting projects.
* Providing financial support to financial administrators based in the care homes.
Requirements:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA) with 0-3 years PQE and strong technical accounting ability.
* Experience in preparation of management accounts / financial statements.
* Strong commercial awareness and good business acumen.
* Excellent communications skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced excel skills.
* Experience in accounting software (Sage50) and payroll software (Sage or Thesaurus) is desirable.
