As a mental health nurse at Nua Healthcare Services, you will be part of our talented multidisciplinary team within Ireland's new and exciting specialist mental health inpatient service. This service provides care and treatment for adults aged between 18 and 65 who suffer from a mental disorder.

To comply with relevant legislation, including the Health Act 2007, Mental Health Act 2001, Mental Health Amendment Act 2018, Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, and associated standards and regulations.
To ensure that Patient Plans (PPs) and Individual Care Plans (ICPs) are up to date and that services are delivered to the highest possible quality and safety standards.
Familiarize yourself with the local safety statement, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures, and adhere to them at all times.
Familiarize yourself with and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Use company IT systems as instructed and never share your passwords with others or engage in any activity that may result in the unauthorized disclosure of company and personal data under the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
Report any concerns about patient safety to your line manager or other manager within Nua in accordance with company policy.
Act responsibly and cooperate with regulators in the best interests of our service and its users.
Maintain the highest level of infection control standards as directed by company policy and national best practice guidelines for the safety, health, and welfare of yourself, colleagues, patients, and others.
Support the delivery of effective front-line care to all patients by utilizing nursing skills.
Support the development and implementation of Health Assessments, Medication Plans, and supporting documents outlining supports for individuals, including personal plans, epilepsy plans, diabetic plans, etc.
Ensure that all Health Action Plans are delivered appropriately to all patients.
Promote good relationships with primary healthcare services in each individual's community.
Communicate and liaise with the Multi-Disciplinary Team.
Identify supports and work in partnership with the individual, their family, and other supports outlined within individual Personal Plans.
Support patients with health appointments and follow through on recommendations.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patients.
Promote and nurture person-centered planning using key worker systems and shared goal setting, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Support the development and implementation of relevant documents outlining supports for individuals, including personal plans and standard operating procedures.
Support and promote maximum opportunities for community involvement for people who use the service.
Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in compiling and presenting reports as required.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding staff and patients.
You must be registered on the Psychiatric Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Excellent knowledge of all aspects of Medication Management.
Effective verbal and written communication.
