The Data Center (DC) Security Team provides physical security solutions to protect AWS personnel, facilities, and customer information.
About the Role
As a Security Support Specialist, you will drive operational security excellence within Data Centers while working with partner teams and leaders. The ideal candidate will manage communications and provide services as required.
You will assist with electronic surveillance and access control requests, helping Data Centre Security Managers streamline efficiency.
Your position will require you to extract metrics and observe improvements by analyzing data. The successful candidate must have a proven track record of customer service, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrate good judgment and critical thinking.
* Drive security awareness campaigns aimed at enhancing security vigilance and effectiveness.
* Manage workflow ticketing and extraction/development of performance metrics.
* Configure physical security devices including cameras, readers, and panels.
* Support daily operational security across a data centre campus.
* Digest overarching security strategy into daily tactics to reach management goals.
About the Team
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.
Basic Qualifications
* 1 to 5 years experience in operations room/centre.
* Exposure to Physical Security operations.
Preferred Qualifications
* 2+ years working in an operations, physical security, or equivalent environment.
* 2+ years of experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data.
* Basic knowledge of physical security systems and their operation, including access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance.
