Job Description
Within the role of Regional Director, your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
1. Lead Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.
2. Undertake Line Management and/or supervisory responsibilities, supporting, motivating, and mentoring team members. Ensure all staff members reporting to you have current and relevant training.
3. Contribute to the management of the delivery of project management team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards.
4. Positively engage with the construction and design team and work collaboratively to mitigate risks, avoid claims and disputes whilst maintaining meticulous records.
5. Co-ordinate, review, and ensure sign-off of all management information produced by project management teams prior to issue.
6. Lead the development of strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional team.
7. Be the main interface with AECOM clients (New and Existing).
8. Lead the management of design on large complex projects.
9. Lead the management of tender documents, appraisals, and negotiations on large complex projects.
10. Lead the formulation and management of construction contracts on large complex projects.
11. Progress business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities.
12. Support ‘winning’ clients, being responsible for the quality of work outputs, effective communication, and demonstration of professional behaviours.
13. Provide leadership within project management business and mentoring to the team.
14. Manage project finances, resourcing, audits, and reviews, to a portfolio of projects being led within the cost centre.
15. Formulate fee proposals.
16. Support Project Managers through Professional Chartership.
17. Active involvement in recruitment and retention activities.
18. Ensure you complete all relevant training.
Qualifications
1. Professionally Qualified – ideally in Project Management/Construction/Engineering/Quantity Surveying Degree.
2. Chartered Status with the RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE or other equivalent institution.
3. Knowledge and experience of working with stakeholders/clients to produce Strategic Development Briefs and Client/User requirements.
4. Knowledge and experience of working as part of complex, multi-disciplinary/multi-agency Project Teams.
