We currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Community Support Worker to join our Respite Services in Shankill, Co Dublin. As a Community Support Worker, you will be involved in supporting clients to achieve their personal outcomes to build on their potential and to develop positive roles within their home and in the community. Shifts will be a mix of sleep-over and day shifts with some waking nights as required.
Applicants must have:
* One year’s post qualification experience of working with adults with intellectual disability
* A knowledge of the HIQA regulations and standards
* Experience of working alone in a one-to-one environment as well as experience of teamwork
* Experience of dealing with behaviours that challenge and with behavioural supports
* CPI experience
* Experience of teaching skills in cooking, budgeting, cleaning & building confidence skills
* Understanding and experience of therapeutic interventions
* Experience in alternative communications
* Excellent organisation and communication skills
* Experience of creative problem-solving techniques
* Enthusiasm, energy, and creativity
* Can deal with confidential information in a discreet and responsible manner
* Excellent IT and report writing skills
* Hold a full driving licence and have access to own transport
* Be flexible to work a variety of rostered shifts over a seven-day work period
Requirement: Applicant must hold a QQI Level 7 in Social Care or Foreign Equivalent (validated by QQI)

* To assist in the teaching of life skills in cooking, budgeting, cleaning & building confidence
Salary Scale: Successful candidates will be paid as per the consolidated pay Scale of Social Care Worker MHA.
