Business Development Representative (BDR)
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Business Development Representative to join our team. This role will give you the autonomy and responsibility for the active development of the company's sales pipeline.
About the Role
You will work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to generate leads, strengthen our market share, and become an active member of our growth strategy going forward. Your primary responsibility will be to generate qualified leads within the SMB market and nurture them through the early stages of the sales funnel.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and research potential SMB customers in target markets.
* Generate a consistent flow of qualified leads through various channels, including outbound calls, emails, social media, and web research.
* Assess leads' needs, budget, and readiness to engage in the sales process, identifying decision makers and stakeholders.
* Initiate contact with prospects, introducing our ATS & HRIS software, and gauging interest.
* Develop a strong understanding of our ATS & HRIS offering, its features, and value proposition.
* Build and maintain relationships with leads, implementing lead nurturing strategies.
* Schedule qualified sales appointments and demos for Account Executives.
* Maintain accurate records of lead interactions and progress in our CRM system, HubSpot.
* Provide valuable feedback from customer interactions to improve messaging and strategies.
* Collaborate with the Sales AE team to ensure a smooth handover of qualified leads.
* Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly lead generation targets.
* Develop a deep understanding of HRLocker's ATS & HRIS software and its features to understand our business domain.
Requirements
* Minimum of 1 year's experience in lead generation in a Business to Business environment.
* Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
* Ability to adapt to changing market dynamics and sales strategies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently in a remote work environment and effectively collaborate with team members across various locations.
* Experienced in using Microsoft software suite.
* Organized, with the ability to multi-task & manage several sales opportunities at the same time.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in a remote-first organization.
* Regional market knowledge and familiarity with the HR tech industry is a plus.
* Previous experience working in a Business Development capacity in a SAAS, recruitment, or HR domain.
* Experience using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems such as HubSpot to manage sales processes, track customer performance/satisfaction, and provide data-driven insights.
