Senior Occupational Therapist - Hybrid/CH03 (Fixed-Term, Full-Time, 35 hours)

This is a Fixed-Term (18 months), Full-Time, 35 hours contract. Starting Salary - €57,450 - DOE Acquired Brain Injury Ireland provides community-based residential rehabilitation services to people living with brain injury in Ireland. Our mission is to serve, advocate, empower and support people impacted by brain injury to rebuild their lives.
The role of the Senior Occupational Therapist carries responsibility for the delivery of therapeutic interventions and strategies to clients in accordance with their agreed rehabilitation programmes and to work as part of the trans-disciplinary team in the development and delivery of ABI Ireland services.
Role Duties: To be actively involved with the team in the assessment of client need and the formulation, implementation and review of PDP's/Rehabilitation programmes.Write reports and attend multidisciplinary case meetings within ABI Ireland together with the HSE.Provide training and support to the Rehabilitation Assistants and other personnel.Undertake research and evaluation of programmes as appropriate.Set standards for staff practice in daily routines.Ensure quality standards laid out by CARF are upheld and maintained.Act as a resource for other service providers, health care professionals, and others working with this client group.Qualifications: Be a registered Occupational Therapist.At least 4 years post qualification experience.Demonstrated understanding and experience in community rehabilitation.Experience in the area of disability and knowledge and awareness of the needs of people with an ABI.A strong focus on maximising independence and setting achievable goals for service users.Excellent communication skills, verbal, written, report writing and presentation.Previous experience of leading and developing staff.Able to demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgement showing logical decision making and a hands-on approach.Excellent time management skills with a focus on customer service.A confident self-starter with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment.Experience of planning, budgeting and forecasting.Excellent MS Office skills.Previous experience of working in an area of disability/illness would be an advantage.Previous residential/community service experience.What Our Staff Say: 96% of our team would recommend the organisation to friends and family.92% of staff said our organisation is a great place to work.95% said that our organisation values diversity.98% of our colleagues said they work well with their co-workers.If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
