The Opportunity:
Based on continued growth, the appointment of this new role in our business will be responsible for providing safe and effective maintenance and servicing of our Food Production manufacturing equipment to meet targets and standards of our Epping site. Some of the major challenges of the role include (but not limited to):
* Ensuring all maintenance tasks are executed using the appropriate safety standards and are compliant with Edlyn policies, regulations and SOP’s.
* Performing high precision trade work plus additional multi trade skills within the limits of training and competency.
* Carrying out unplanned (breakdown) maintenance on failed, faulty or damaged mechanical assets in accordance with standard operating procedures and industry best practice.
* Performing preventative (inspections and servicing) and scheduled maintenance on company production and mechanical equipment to meet Edlyn requirements.
* Continual monitoring of the maintenance process to make sure that it stays compliant to standards and correction of any problems that may arise.
* Conducting regular inspections and quality assessments to uphold project standards and identify areas for improvement.
* Coordinating with project stakeholders and subcontractors to ensure smooth project progress and compliance with specifications.
* Undertaking special projects from time to time, as identified by the Production Manager/Operations Manager/CEO.
Who we are looking for:
* A recognised and appropriate mechanical trade qualification (i.e. Fitter and Turner).
* Experience in the operation and/or maintenance of process or heavy industrial equipment within the Food industry will be highly favoured.
* Robotic, automated packing and processing equipment experience is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated knowledge of GMP principles and OH&S requirements.
* Able to work in a multi-disciplined team environment with the ability to liaise with other sections within business, contractors, and consultants.
* High level of organisational skills and ability to prioritise and coordinate a range of tasks to meet deadlines under minimal supervision.
