This role is within a centrally organized team that interacts with the Executive Management and finance leads of global entities that achieve complex operating and tax strategies (herein referred to as Principle Entities). These entities are responsible for over $6B of revenue, internal & external manufacturing activities (including complex toll manufacturing setup), IP ownership, and service over 700 employees.
The Finance Manager develops a sustainable network with supply chain operating entities and interfaces with various finance teams within Takeda.
Responsibilities are spread across 3 main sub-functions:
* Monthly financial close
* Financial oversight
* Stakeholder Management
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Full Ownership of end-to-end revenue accounting for the entities in Ireland
* Finance business partnering with employees in Ireland
* Preparation and presentation to BOD of Statutory financial statements for entities in scope under FRS and support other financial statements handled by Takeda Business Solutions
* Review of reconciliations, CMO reconciliations and other work carried out by other teams and guide Takeda Business Solutions on complex accounting topics including lease accounting, payroll, fixed assets etc.
* Tax compliance-related work for Irish entities
* Independently work with service providers on complex accounting topics to resolve audit points on Irish entity audits
* Ownership of GL queries across the entities and work to resolution independently
* Support liquidations/mergers and other tax transactions for Ireland
* Ownership of SOX controls for Irish entities
* Document and align end-to-end processes, key controls, and responsibilities between the different finance teams, controllership, and TBS
* SOX & Audit contact for complex entities and coordination with responsible controllers/TBS
* Organize process walk-throughs with external and internal auditors and monitor testing activities/issue resolution
* Support integration and elimination projects impacting the complex entities
* Monthly, quarterly, and annual close accounting activities for Controllership organization in Ireland
* Track audit & statutory financial status for complex entities
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
* Professional Accounting qualification required. (ACA, ACCA)
* Minimum of 4 years of Post Qualified Experience (PQE)
* SAP ECC experience essential
* Finance personnel with hands-on experience in IFRS, SOX and UK/Irish GAAP
* Preferably practice trained (top 10)
* Ability to influence and lead without authority
* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
* Knowledge of tax concepts and principles for Ireland
* Expertise with statutory accounting and leading audits
* Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to persuasively convey critical elements of complex issues
Desired:
* Pharma experience preferred.
* Experience in dealing with organizational change in the accounting/reporting function
* Experience dealing with multi-location projects and managing third-party consultants
