About the Role
Your new company has retained our services to recruit a Scheme Coordinator on a temporary contract basis. This role will work within a sheltered housing scheme in Lurgan, reporting to the area Housing Officer.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide an enhanced housing management service to independent living tenants, ensuring high standards of customer service.
* Engage with tenants, respond to their support needs efficiently and effectively, and maintain regular contact.
* Collaborate with partnering agencies and stakeholders to deliver key services.
* Manage emergency situations, seek advice from the Housing Officer when necessary, and respond to emergency calls in a supportive manner.
* Support tenants in participating in activities such as lunch clubs and coffee mornings.
* Deliver evening events to increase social interaction amongst tenants and support new tenants during the sign-up process.
* Ensure rent is collected and lodged in accordance with procedures.
* Help tenants sustain their tenancies by carrying out and reviewing risk assessments, reporting building repairs, and overseeing contractors.
* Assist tenants in managing their finances, including budgeting and household bills.
Requirements
* A good understanding of great customer experience and working with people in a housing-related context.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including communicating sensitive and important information.
* The ability to balance several ongoing tasks while maintaining accurate records and empathy.
* Initiative, responsibility, and the ability to deal with difficult situations.
* A practical understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment, confidentiality, and supporting vulnerable individuals.
